For more than 140 years, Vaillant has stood for innovation in hot water, heating and cooling. As a coppersmith and pumpmaker Johann Vaillant opened a master workshop in 1874 for installation work in Remscheid. Only 20 years later, he developed a pioneering innovation and on July 21, 1894, obtained the patent for the gas bath oven with a "closed system". This made it possible for the first time to heat water in an oven without causing combustion gases to precipitate. An absolute novelty, because it was the user warm and clean water at the same time available, and as a further bonus you could at the gas bath even the water temperature regulate. The company also owes its famous company logo to its founder, Johann Vaillant, which in 1899 used the image of an Easter Bunny in an egg as an unmistakable trademark. This made him a brand pioneer in the German consumer goods industry. Even today, the Vaillant bunny is one of the most well-known trademarks in Europe. Today, the Vaillant Group unites several brand companies, researching, developing and producing at 11 locations in 6 European countries and China - and distributing products in more than 60 countries worldwide. The turquoise Vito also comes from the company's fleet and ensures that even the miniature world does not have to freeze to death.
