Kibri 38901 H0 Gatehouse Miltenberg
The special design and diversity of the franconian timber frame buildings reach their ultimate in the selected houses at the market square in Miltenberg am Main. The originals were built in the early 16th century. In their balance between purpose and harmonious design these four houses differ from many other buildings. The builders of the middle ages did not have much freedom of design due to small blocks of land in medieval towns. The only option to expand a building was going up. The narrow spacing of the timber frame work and the prominent enhancement of the vertical elements was typical for the franconian timber framed houses. The Miltenberg Ensemble consists of four harmonious well designed timber frame buildings. This is true for the the originals and for the Kibri models. The timber supports of the model are brown or red brown in different hues that contrast nicely with the light coloured walls. The H0 scale contributes to the impressive overall appearance and of the details. The Miltenberg houses can be effectively combined with the already available townhouses by Kibri. Push fit fittings make sure that all parts can be fitted together.
